Orchids of Sicily
Orchids have to be amongst the most beautiful and exotic flowers on earth. During our 2009 visit to Sicily, we spent some time hiking in the limestone mountains of the Madonie and the Nebrodi, as well as our “usual” excursion to Mount Etna. We couldn’t help but photograph the fantastic variety of orchids we found, and so here is a selection of them for you to enjoy. We'd like to say a big "thank you" to the following for helping us with identification: Klaus Henning, Krzynianek and David Wood-Robinson
