A steep and sometimes airy path descends some 500m from the Gîte de Belouve through swathes of arum lilies and rich woodland to eventually reach the Creole town of Hell Bourg in the Cirque de Salazie. This giant bamboo grows abundantly in the woodland shortly before you enter Hell Bourg proper. |
